It's not too bad. Kids keep me busy.
I realized recently how close I am to that place. I bet it would only take me a few hours to get there.( I am near Toledo, Ohio) I wonder if just anyone can attend the church? It would be interesting to walk in there on a Sunday morning. I can even wear a dress. Then he would be able to see a few of my tatoos. Could ya just hear that lecture? LOL

Yeah, that was a very tough year....not being allowed to speak. PWilly thought I had a superiority complex and shut me down. Well, I'm glad we survived and have come together again after all these years. Do you have a good life?

Yes. I do remember you. I remeber thinking at first that you were not sociable. Then I found out that you were not allowed to talk to anybody. Totally new experience for me.

Hi, Bek. I don't remember you! I was there when Amy was. I'm glad you escaped the long sentence...I was there for 23 months! I'm glad to meet you again...do you remember me? Karen Glover.

I remember "no dissecting your food"!! I used to love dissecting my food. I used to get into trouble for that one alot! I was strip searched when I was initially incarcerated. I was not "orifice" checked. I was told to take off all my clothes and get in the bathtub. Dawn Kagin went thru my things there in the bathroom while I was bathing. She watched. I was told to get out and dry and put on a uniform. So for me, being buck naked in front of a strange woman in a strange house where I had no control at all about anything was just terrifying. I won't ever forget it.

Many of us have variances in our experiences there. I don't know why the did some things to some girls and other things to other girls. Weird.

I don't ever remember being strip searched. I know they searched my stuff when I got there. As for the food, I remember the options were Extras (for the skinny people), regulars ( for those who were just right), and diet (for those who were "plump") I was on diet portions. In the 6 weeks that I was there, I lost 35 pounds. Yes, losing the weight was a good thing. and, what was the deal with "not disecting your food"? Anybody remember that? Couldn't eat the crust and then the bread, couldn't eat the white and then the yolk...........and other fun stuff like that.
I am just glad that Amy K. ran away when she did or I would have been stuck there for the whole time.
I have questioned my parents about my being sent home. Their take on things was interesting to sat the least.
Update more later!

that is why they won't allow me to blog with them because when they bring up things that I was witnessed to I question them and remind them I was there and that was not how things happened, I am a witness, and it bothers them, my mind is not set in stone, if they could actually prove to me but they can't the things they claim are exaggerated and not 100% true, it is in the perception of a rebellious teenagers memories. They claim they were stripped searched, not true, they claim they starved, not true, then they claimed they were feed too much, maybe when we had eating contests, but we were all served the same. But of course you don?t want to hear from someone who views things differently.

That is exactly how I remember getting spanked. Was only there for 6 weeks and got spanked 4 times. They held me down every time and I was not trying to put up a fight. Miss Emory and Miss Saylor, I think those were the names of the ladies who were in there. One at the head and one on my legs. And the reasons for it were ridiculous. Once it was because I took those stupid pink rollers out of my (naturally curly) hair and was ripping the brush through it. Yeah I was frustrated. Who wouldn't be. the hair was already curly and the roller made it worse. Apparently, it was a bad attitude. Well, my hair started it! It was uncooperative!
